A three-night, all inclusive retreat experience for Canadian pastors and their spouses on the coast of British Columbia.
Get yourself to the Ferry Terminal in North Vancouver, and we’ll take care of the rest. No expectations. No church growth seminars. No networking agenda. No pressure to be, do, or perform. Come experience an unhurried schedule with plenty of time to do the things that bring you joy. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and the retreat is expected to sell-out. By putting your name on the notification list you will receive advance communications regarding the date that registration is set to go live, as well as an email when registration opens.

For reference, the Fall 2026 retreat cost was $375/person, +$125 for single occupancy. An increase in costs is to be expected for Fall 2027 and this FAQ will be updated when pricing information is set.

Alongside your retreat registration fee, you must cover your travel costs to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.
Once you’re at the Terminal our team will take care of the water taxi to Keats Island and will ensure you’re well taken care of until we drop you back off at Horseshoe Bay at the end of the retreat.

If you’re a single pastor, or your spouse in unable to attend, we would love to have you join us. There is a registration option to book as an individual.

This retreat is specifically designed for those who serve in positions of pastoral ministry in their church. We understand that different ecumenical expressions use different terms to describe pastoral roles. Guests are responsible for getting themselves to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal at the start of the retreat. After arriving at Horseshoe Bay, guests will board a water taxi with their luggage for 45 minute boat ride to Keats Island. Depending on weather conditions, the boat ride may induce nausea for those who are prone to motion sickness. Use anti-nausea medication at your discretion. The taxis are large, carrying 20+ guests, and the overwhelming majority of guests report no nausea.
At the conclusion of the retreat, we will board water taxi’s to the Langdale Ferry Terminal, a 10 minute boat ride from Keats Island. From there we will board a large Ferry operated by BC Ferries for a 45 minute ferry ride back to Horseshoe Bay where guests will arrange their own transportation back home.

A typical day at our Pastors Retreat would include:

11:30AM: Free Time

2:00PM: Free Time & Optional Activities
Including hiking, pickleball, hot tub, spiritual direction, board games, hiking
5:30PM: Dinner
7:00PM: Evening Session
8:00PM: Optional Evening Activities
Trivia night, social evening, hot tub

Our team at The Pastorate does our best to meet the physical accessibility needs of all our guests.
